30The gods said: Salutation, salutation to you, the thread on which every sacrifice is strung, who for the world's upholding have taken a body of spotless clarity. By good fortune this piercer of the worlds is killed. Lord, through devotion to your feet we are at rest. 31So Hari, the first boar, having brought down Hiranyaksa whose valour was not to be borne, went to his own world where the festival is never broken, praised by him whose seat is the lotus and by the rest. 32I have told you, good friend, as it was told before me, how Hari behaved when he made his descent, and how Hiranyaksa of high valour was set aside in that great fight as though it were a game.
33Having heard this account of the Bhagavan told by Kausarava, brahmin, the Ksatta, great among the Lord's own, came to the highest gladness. 34To hear of other good men whose verses are holy and whose fame runs unchecked brings gladness. How much more to hear of him who bears the Srivatsa?
