1When Manu's daughter spoke like this of her weariness with it all, the sage, full of pity, remembered what the white one had said and answered that noble woman. 2Do not wear yourself down like this, king's daughter, you against whom nothing can be said. The Bhagavan, who does not perish, will come into your womb before long. 3You have kept your vow. Good come to you. With restraint, with observance, with austerity and with gifts of your wealth, and with trust, worship the Lord. 4Worshipped by you, the white one will spread my fame abroad. Born of your body, teaching what Brahman is, he will cut the knot of your heart.
5Devahuti too took the word of the lord of creatures with reverence and trusted it fully, and worshipped the Person who stands unchanging, the weighty teacher.
