Hearing him speak that curse against the line of the twice-born, Bhrgu sent a curse back against him, the rod of Brahman, which is hard to get past. Those who hold to the vow of Bhava, and those who follow along after them, let them turn into people of false teaching, standing across the road of the true teachings. With their cleanness gone and their wits confused, wearing matted hair and ash and bones, let them enter the consecration of Siva, where the divine thing is wine and strong drink. Because you revile Brahman, and the brahmins too, who are the embankment that holds men in, you have gone over for that reason to the false teaching.

For this is the good and ancient road of the worlds, the one those before us kept to, and Janardana is the warrant for it. Revile that Brahman, highest and pure, the ancient way of the good, and go to the false teaching, where the god you have is the king of the spirits.
