Those masters of the yoga of the self, honoured by the first king, praised his character and rose into the sky while men stood looking on. Vainya, foremost among the great, standing firm in the teaching about the inner self, held himself a man whose wishes were already met, and rested in the self. And he did his works according to the time, the place, his strength, what was fitting and what he had, and made them over to Brahman. He laid the fruit in Brahman, unattached, gathered in himself, holding the self, which is beyond nature, to be the overseer of what is done. Living in his house though he was, and with the splendour of an empire about him, he did not cling to what the senses want, and had no thought of I in him, like the sun.

So, doing his works by the yoga of the inner self, he begot on Arci five sons after his own mind.
