To him whose body is the self of every being, to the particular, to the grossest of all; salutation to the guardian of the three worlds, and to endurance and vigour and strength. To him whose mark is meaning, to space, salutation, to the self within and without; salutation to that holy world beyond, of great brightness. To what goes forward and what turns back, to the fathers and the gods, to action; salutation to the ripening of wrongdoing, to death, and to the giver of pain. Salutation to you, lord of blessings, to Manu, whose self is the cause; salutation to dharma, to the great, to Krsna whose wisdom is never blunted, to the Person, the ancient, and to the lord of enumeration and yoga.

To him who is joined with the three powers, the bountiful, whose self is the I-maker; to him whose form is thought and intention; salutation to the reach of speech. Give us, who long to see, the sight that the Lord's own worship: the form dearest to your own, which is the salve of every sense.
