1One day the great bowman took a chariot with five horses, swift, with two shafts, two wheels, one axle, three bamboo poles, five fastenings, 2one rein, one driver, one seat, two yoke-props, five weapons, seven coverings and five paces, 3and gear of gold. He mounted it in golden armour, with a quiver that never empties, and, lord of eleven armies, went to the forest of the five uplands. 4There, swollen with pride, his bow and arrows in hand, he hunted, greedy for that vice, and left behind his wife, who had not deserved it. 5Taking up the way of the demons, terrible in himself and without mercy, he killed with sharpened arrows, in the forests, the creatures that live in forests.
