45So this husband of a servant woman, who had washed away every duty and was fallen by work that is condemned, being thrown down into hell with his vow broken, was freed on the instant by taking up the Bhagavan's name. 46For those who want release there is nothing beyond this for cutting the bond of action, beyond singing over him whose feet are a ford; for by it the mind, muddied with passion and darkness, does not cling to works again. It is otherwise with anything else. 47Whoever hears this highest secret, this old story that carries wrong away, joined with trust, and whoever sings it over with devotion: 48he does not go to hell, and Yama's servants do not so much as look at him. Even a mortal who is inauspicious is honoured in Visnu's world.
49Ajamila, uttering Hari's name as he died, though he meant it for his son, went to that dwelling. How much more one who utters it with trust.
