7So you alone are the sovereign of beings, and of the lords among them: the ruler, the one who holds the rod over men and tells the good from the bad. 8But that rod of yours, laid down as it is, does not hold in the world now. Your order has been made a mockery of by four wonderful perfected ones. 9As we were bringing a sinner at your word to the houses of torment, they cut the nooses and set him free by force. 10We want to know who they are, if you think it fit for us. When Narayana was said, they came quickly, saying: do not be afraid. 11Asked this by them, the god Yama, who holds the people in check, was pleased, and remembering Hari's lotus feet he answered his own men.
