What would come of it· Verses 11–15

The earth is the field called the living one, beginningless, a man's own binding. Without having seen the quenching of that, what would come of works that are not true? There is one alone, the Lord, the fourth, the Bhagavan, who stands on himself, the highest. Without having seen that unbecome one, what would come to a man of works that are not true? A man does not come back from where he goes, as one who has gone to the heaven in the hole does not. For one who does not know the dwelling turned inward, what would come of works that are not true? The understanding of the self with its many forms is like a loose woman, joined to the strands. For one who has not come to a steady hold on that, what would come of works that are not true?

For one who does not know here the goings of that understanding, and who wanders the round of birth like a man with a bad wife, his mastery lost by keeping her company: what would come of works that are not true?
