Drona, Prana, Dhruva, Arka, Agni, Dosa, Vastu, Vibhavasu. Of Drona, by his wife Abhimati, came Gladness and Grief and Fear and the rest. Prana's wife was Urjasvati, and his sons Saha, Ayus and Purojava. Dhruva's wife Dharani brought forth cities of every kind. Arka's wife was Vasana, and his sons are remembered as Tarsa and the rest. Agni's wife was Vasordhara, and her sons Dravinaka and the rest. Skanda too was born, of Krttika, and from him Visakha and the others. Dosa's son by Sarvari was Sisumara, who is a fragment of Hari. Vasu's son by Angirasi was Visvakarman, husband of Krti. From him came Manu Caksusa, and Manu's sons were the Visvas and the Sadhyas.

Usa bore to Vibhavasu Vyusta, Rocis and Atapa. Then came Pancayama, by whom living beings wake to their work. Sarupa, the wife of Bhuta, bore the Rudras by tens of millions: Raivata, Aja, Bhava, Bhima, Vama, Ugra, Vrsakapi, Ajaikapad, Ahirbudhnya, Bahurupa and Mahat. And Rudra's other attendants are the fearful spirits and the ones who put obstacles in the way.
