Long ago a certain twice-born man of the Kausika line, holding this knowledge, gave up his body in a waterless desert by the fixing of yoga. One day the lord of the gandharvas, Citraratha, came over that place in his flying car, surrounded by women, over the very spot where the brahmin had ended. He fell from the sky at once, car and all, head downward. Astonished, at the word of the Valikhilyas he took up the bones, threw them into the eastward Sarasvati, bathed, and went on to his own abode. Whoever hears this at the right time, and whoever holds it with reverence, is bowed to by all beings and set free from fear on every side.

Having got this knowledge from Visvarupa, he of the hundred rites beat the demons in battle and enjoyed the wealth of the three worlds.
