The servant of your servants· Verses 24–27

Hari, let me become again the servant of the servants whose one root is your feet. Let my mind remember the qualities of you, the lord of my breath; let my speech say them out; let my body do the work. Not the vault of heaven, not the highest place, not lordship over the whole earth, not rule over the world below, not the powers of yoga, not even the end of being born again: none of it do I want, right-minded one, if I must be without you. As fledglings with no wings yet long for their mother, as young calves pinched with hunger long for the milk, as a woman in her sadness longs for the man she loves who is away: so my mind longs to see you, lotus-eyed.

As I turn on the wheel of the round of birth by my own works, let me have the friendship of the people of him whose renown is highest; and let me not be one whose mind is stuck fast, by your maya, on body and children and wife and house, my lord.
