37So the man who was the Lord's own, well able to curse the goddess back, took her curse on his head; and that much is the mark of the good. 38He was born in Tvastr's southern fire, having taken a Danava womb, and became widely known as Vrtra, joined with knowledge and the working of it. 39All this has been told you, what you were asking me: the cause of Vrtra's mind being set on the Bhagavan, and of his birth among the demons. 40Hearing this holy old telling of the great-souled Citraketu, which is the greatness of those devoted to Visnu, a man is let go of his bondage. 41And whoever rises in the morning and reads this telling with faith, holding his speech in, remembering Hari, goes to the highest way.
