25When Hiranyakasipu heard his son say this, his lip shaking with rage, he said this to the teacher's son. 26You disgrace to the brahmins, what is this you have done? Untrue yourself, you have gone over to the other side. Passing me by, evil-minded man, you have had the boy take hold of what has nothing in it. 27There are men in the world who are not good, false in friendship, going about in a costume. Their harm comes out in its own time, as disease comes out in those who have sinned. 28Enemy of Indra, what this son of yours says was not put into him by me, nor was it put into him by another. This mind of his is his own by nature, king. Hold your anger back, and do not lay it on us.
29Answered so by the teacher, the demon spoke to his son again: If this did not come from your teacher's mouth, where does it come from, this mind of yours, so wrong and so untrue?
