48We are the Manus, who carry out your orders, and the son of Diti trampled the bounds we set, god. You have made an end of that foul one, master. What shall we do? Command your servants. 49We are the lords of creatures, made by you, lord beyond all, and he forbade us, so that we could not bring creatures forth. Now he lies with his chest torn open by you. Your descent, you whose form is clarity, is auspicious for the world. 50Mighty one, we are your actors and dancers and singers, and he made us his own by his valour and strength and force. You have brought him to this state. How can a man who stands on the wrong road ever come to good?
51Hari, we have come to your lotus feet, which are the end of the round of birth, now that you have finished this demon who lay in the hearts of the good. 52We are the chief of those who attend you, for the works we do that please you; and here the son of Diti made carriers of us. Man-lion, you knew the torment of people he had made, and you have brought him back into the five, you who are the twenty-fifth.
