Verse 56

⁵³We are kimpurusas, and you are the great Person, the Lord. This ill man is gone, since the good had cried shame on him. ⁵⁴In the halls and at the sacrifices we sing your spotless fame and win great honour by it. This bad man had all but put an end to that. Out of enmity, Bhagavan, he has been killed by you, like a disease. ⁵⁵Lord, we are the companies of kinnaras who follow you, and the son of Diti made us do forced labour. Hari, that crooked one has been brought down by you. Man-lion, master, be for our thriving. ⁵⁶Today, giver of refuge, we have seen this astonishing form of yours, lion and man, which is peace for all the worlds. Lord, this man carried out your bidding, and was cursed by brahmins; we know that this death of his is your favour.
