Why is your body fat?· Verses 16–19

You carry a well fed body, as though you worked and had your pleasures. Wealth comes here to those who work, and pleasure to those who have wealth; and it is those who take their pleasure whose body grows heavy, and no one else. You lie here and do no work, brahmin, so there is no wealth of yours from which any pleasure could come. Yet this body of yours is heavy though you take no pleasure. Tell us how, if you may. You are wise, able, keen of eye; your talk is bright and pleasant; you are the same toward all. While the world goes about its work, you lie down, or else you watch it working. Asked in this way by the lord of the Daityas, the great sage smiled and answered him, held fast by the sweetness of his speech.
