Verse 20

²⁰Best of the demons, you know this yourself, and the noble hold you in honour: with the eye that looks inward you see the steps by which men set to work and by which they leave off. ²¹In your heart the god Narayana, the Bhagavan, is always present, and by undivided devotion he shakes ignorance out of you as the sun shakes out the dark. ²²Even so, king, I will answer your questions as I have heard the answers; for a man who wants his own cleansing ought to talk with you. ²³Driven by thirst, which carries a man into becoming and is never filled by the pleasures that fit it, I was made to do works and was put into womb after womb.
