The mouth of the fire and the mouth of a brahmin· Verses 15–18

Day by day, with the wealth his own way of living brings him, he should worship the Person separately in the gods, the sages, men and other beings, the fathers, and himself. When a man has the right to it and all that a sacrifice requires is in his hands, he should offer by the rule of the three fires, with the fire offering and the rest. The Bhagavan, who eats every sacrifice, is not so worshipped by what is poured into the mouth of fire, king, as by what is offered into the mouth of a brahmin. So in brahmins, who are gods, and in mortals and the rest, each as he deserves, worship him, the knower of the field, with such good things as you have, and let the brahmins come first.
