Son of Marici, these creatures are born of your own mind and body, and take to clarity, passion and darkness. You are the same towards all of them, lord, demons and the rest; and yet the great Lord serves the one who serves him. So, ruler, you of good vows, think of what is good for me, who serve you. Our fortune is taken, our place is taken, by our rivals: guard us, lord. Driven from home by others, I am sunk in a sea of trouble. My lordship, my fortune, my good name, my place, have all been taken from me by the strong. Good man, best of those who do good, so set it out in your mind that my sons may come to those things again, and that it may go well.
