Then that dwarf form of Hari, of the Endless, grew, a wonder, made of the three strands; and in it earth and sky and the quarters and heaven and the caverns and the seas, the beasts, men, gods and sages, all had their places. In the body of that one of great power, Bali, with his priests and his teacher and the men of the assembly, saw this whole world of the three strands within one whose self is the strands, joined with the elements, the senses, their objects, the inner store, and the living. On the sole of the Person's foot he saw the lower waters; on the feet, the earth; on the shanks, the mountains; on the knee of him whose form is the world, the birds; on the thighs, the company of the winds: he who now held Indra's army.

In the pervading one's garment he saw the twilight; in the private parts, the lords of creatures; on the loins, those foremost among his own; on the navel, the sky; in the flanks, the seven seas; and on the chest of the wide-strider, the string of stars.
