5Brahma and the other lords of the worlds, with their followers and full of reverence, brought tribute to their own lord, who had drawn his vastness back into himself. 6With water, with fitting gifts, with garlands, with sweet ointments from heaven, with incense and with fragrant lamps, with parched grain and unbroken rice and fruit and young shoots; 7with hymns and shouts of victory that marked out the greatness of his strength, with dancing and instruments and song, with the sounding of conches and of drums. 8And Jambavan, king of the bears, swift as thought, cried the victory out with the beating of kettledrums into all the quarters, and a great festival with it.
