Seeing the whole earth taken away by that begging that made three paces its pretext, the demons of their master, who was consecrated for the rite, spoke out, past all bearing of it. This is no disgrace to the brahmins. This is Visnu, the best of those who work maya, hidden inside the shape of a twice-born, meaning to do the work of the gods. By this enemy who begs in the shape of a student, everything our master had has been taken from him, and he had laid down his rod on the sacred grass. He is vowed to truth always and now consecrated besides, so he cannot bring himself to say a false word, being good to brahmins and full of pity.

So the killing of this one is our duty, and our service to our master. Saying this, the demons who followed Bali took up their weapons.
