All of them, spears and battle-axes in their hands, ran out against Bali's will, king, with their anger risen, to kill the dwarf. Seeing those leaders of the army of Diti's sons rushing on, king, the companions of Visnu laughed, and with their weapons lifted they held them off. Nanda and Sunanda, then Jaya and Vijaya, Prabala and Bala, Kumuda and Kumudaksa, Visvaksena, the king of birds, Jayanta and Srutadeva, then Puspadanta and the Satvata: every one of them with the strength of ten thousand elephants, and they struck down that demon host.
