29Once sages of good vows came there to see the one who dwells on the mountain, making the quarters shine free of darkness as they came. 30Seeing them, the goddess Ambika, who had no clothes on, was much ashamed, and rising from her husband's lap she quickly put her skirt about her. 31And the sages, seeing the two of them together and taking their pleasure, turned back and went from there to the hermitage of Nara and Narayana. 32Then the revered one, wishing to please the one he loved, said this: whoever enters this place shall become a woman. 33From that time on men keep away from that wood. And she, with her followers about her, wandered from one wood to another.
