So instructed by the Bhagavan, Durvasas, still scorched by the disc, came round to Ambarisa and in his distress took hold of his feet. Seeing him make that effort, and ashamed at having his feet touched, and pressed hard by pity, the king praised that weapon of Hari. You are fire; you are the revered sun; you are the moon, lord of the lights. You are the waters, you are the earth, the sky, the wind, the subtle elements and the senses. Sudarsana, salutation to you, thousand-spoked, dear to the Unfallen, breaker of every weapon: be a blessing to this brahmin, lord of nourishment. You are dharma; you are right order and truth; you are sacrifice, the eater of every sacrifice. You are the guardian of the worlds, the self of all; you are the highest burning power of the Person.
