The king, who had eaten nothing, hoping for his return, took hold of his feet, made him welcome and fed him well. He ate the food of hospitality, brought to him with honour and meeting every wish; and, full now, he said to the king with respect: Eat, please. I am pleased, and I have been favoured, by you who are the Lord's own: by the sight of you, the touch of you, the talk with you, your hospitality, and the good sense that is in you. This clean deed of yours the women of heaven sing over and over, and this earth will go on telling out your fame, which is holiness itself. Having praised the king in this way, Durvasas, well satisfied, took his leave and went through the air to Brahma's world, which stands on no cause.
