From Bhagiratha was born Sruta. His son was another Nabha. From Nabha came Sindhudvipa, and from him Ayutayus. Then Rtuparna, the friend of Nala, who received the knowledge of horses from Nala and gave him in exchange the heart of the dice. Sarvakama was the son of that man. Then came Sudasa, and his son was the king who was husband to Madayanti. They call him Mitrasaha, and in some places Kalmasanghri. By Vasistha's curse he became a raksasa, and by his own act he was left without children. What was the cause of the teacher's curse on great-souled Saudasa? We should like to know this. Tell it, if it is not to be kept secret.
