Verse 7

⁵But they, seeing the tenderness of that god of brahmins, praised on every side, were glad, and their hearts went soft; and they gave it all back to him and said this. ⁶What have you not given us, Bhagavan, lord of the worlds, you who come inside our hearts and kill the darkness there by your own light? ⁷Homage to Rama, the god who holds brahmins dear, whose thought is never blunted, first among those whose renown is highest, at whose feet those who have laid down the rod bow down.
