22He set Druhyu in the south-east and Yadu in the south, Turvasu in the west, and Anu as lord in the north. 23He anointed Puru, worthiest of men, over the whole circle of the earth, put the elder brothers under him, and went away to the forest. 24The group of six, which he had kept at the objects of sense for heaps of years, he let go in a moment, as a bird lets go the nest once its wings have grown. 25There, loosed from every clinging, the three marks shaken off him by the knowing of the self at first hand, in the supreme and spotless Brahman, in Vasudeva, he came to the going that belongs to the Lord's own, and was known in it.
