From Mudgala, Bharmyasva's son, came a pair of twins: the boy was Divodasa, the girl Ahalya, on whom Satananda was born of Gautama. His son was Satyadhrti, skilled in the science of the bow. His son was Saradvan, from whom, at the sight of Urvasi, they say, the seed fell on a clump of reeds, and it became a lovely pair of twins. Santanu, out hunting, saw them and took them up out of pity: the boy Krpa, and the girl Krpi, who became Drona's wife.
