Your father Abhimanyu was born on Subhadra, a hero who beat every fighter above the rank of chariot-warrior. From him, on Uttara, came you. When the Kurus had been worn away by the heat of the weapon of Brahma sent by Drona's son, you too were released from the ender, alive, by Krsna's power. These here are your sons, dear one, with Janamejaya at their head: Srutasena, Bhimasena, and Ugrasena, who has force in him. When Janamejaya learns that you went to your death by Taksaka, rage will fill him, and he will offer the snakes into the fire of a snake sacrifice. With Tura, Kavasa's son, before him as priest, he will hold the horse sacrifice; he will conquer the whole earth on every side, and will worship with rites.

His son Satanika will study the three Vedas under Yajnavalkya, and will get the knowledge of weapons, and from Saunaka the knowledge of rites and what is highest.
