The earth, overrun by hundreds of thousands of armies of Daityas in the guise of proud kings, went for refuge to Brahma under the great load of them. Becoming a cow, her face wet with tears, worn down and crying pitifully, she came near the mighty one and told him her trouble. Brahma took it in and went, with the gods and with her and with the three-eyed one, to the shore of the ocean of milk. Going there, gathered in himself, he stood before the lord of the world, god of gods, Vrsakapi, the Person, and worshipped him with the hymn of the Person. Hearing a voice sent out in the sky while he was gathered in, the Ordainer said to the thirty: Immortals, hear the Person's word from me, and then let it be done at once, just so, without delay.
