13All sorts of instruments were played at the great festival, when Krsna, the lord of the world, the Endless, had come to Nanda's camp. 14The cowherds, delighted, sprinkled one another with curd and milk and butter and water, and smeared one another, and threw fresh butter about. 15Great-hearted Nanda gave them clothes and ornaments and cattle, and gave to the bards and the heralds and the singers, and to the others who live by their learning, 16and honoured each one as was fitting with the things they wanted, his own heart being in no way narrow, for the pleasing of Visnu and for the rising of his own son. 17And Rohini, greatly favoured, made welcome by Nanda the cowherd, went about adorned with heavenly clothes and garlands and with ornaments at her throat.
18From that time on Nanda's camp had increase of every kind, king, and became a playing place of Fortune, by the qualities of Hari, whose dwelling it was.
