Verse 32

³²One day, while they were playing, those cowherd boys with Rama at their head told his mother, Krsna has eaten earth. ³³Taking Krsna by the hand and scolding him, Yasoda, who wanted nothing but his good, spoke to him, whose eyes were unsteady and frightened in their looking. ³⁴Why did you eat earth in secret, you unruly thing? These boys of yours say so, and this elder brother of yours as well. ³⁵I did not eat it, mother. They are all telling lies about me. If they speak the truth, then look here at my mouth. ³⁶If that is so, then open it, she said; and the Bhagavan Hari, whose lordship nothing thwarts, opened his mouth: a human child at his play.
