Krsna, Krsna, great yogin, you are the first Person, the highest. The brahmins know this world, manifest and unmanifest, to be a form of yours. You alone are the lord of the bodies and breaths and selves and senses of every being. You yourself are time, the Bhagavan, Visnu, the Lord who is never spent. You are the great principle, and nature, subtle, made of passion and clarity and darkness. You yourself are the Person who oversees, who knows every field and every change in it. You cannot be grasped by the changes and the strands of nature, which are themselves the things that are grasped. Who here, wrapped up in the strands, is fit to know you, who stood accomplished before them?

To you then, the Bhagavan, Vasudeva, the ordainer, whose greatness is covered over by the strands that are your own shining, to Brahman: our homage.
