40So, brahmins, he who was given by the god of the Yadavas, having heard the strange doings of the one who gave him his life, asked the son of Vyasa again about that same holy matter, for his mind was held fast. 41Brahmin, how can a thing done at one time belong to a later time? What Hari did in his childhood the boys sang of in their boyhood. 42Tell me that, great yogin. My wonder at it is very great, teacher. Surely this is Hari's own maya and nothing else. 43We are the most fortunate in the world, teacher, kshatriyas in name only though we are, since we drink again and again from you the holy nectar of the story of Krsna.
44Asked in this way, the son of Badarayana, whose senses had all been carried off by being reminded of the Endless, with difficulty got his outward sight back and answered him slowly, best of the best of the Lord's own.
