Rama saw the longing of Vraja growing at every moment out of that growth of love, even for children who had left the breast, and, not knowing the cause of it, he thought. What is this, that seems a wonder, in Vasudeva, the self of all? For Vraja, and for me along with them, a love for these children keeps growing that was never there before. And who is she, and where has she come from? Is she of the gods, or a human woman, or of the antigods? It must be my master's maya. There is no other that could bewilder me. Thinking this, Dasarha looked with the eye of knowledge at the calves and his friends as well, and saw every one of them to be him whom nothing hinders.
