Whirling and leaping, throwing, slapping their arms and hauling at each other, the two with their hair in side-locks played at wrestling now and then. And sometimes, when the others danced, the two were themselves the singer and the player, and praised them, saying, well done, well done, great king. Sometimes with wood-apples, sometimes with pots, sometimes with fistfuls of myrobalan; sometimes at touch-me-not and blindman's games and the like; sometimes by acting out beasts and birds. Sometimes with frog-jumps, with mockeries of every kind, sometimes on a swing, and sometimes playing at being king. So the two went about the forest with the games everybody knows, among the rivers and the hollows of the hills, in the thickets and the woods and beside the pools.
