The Pulinda women were filled: the red powder from the lotus feet of the wide-strider, which had been on his beloved's breast, lay smeared on the grass, and sick with longing at the sight of him they rubbed it on their faces and their breasts, and the ache went out of them. Women, this hill is the first among the servants of Hari, since it is glad at the touch of the feet of Rama and Krsna, and it does honour to those two and to their herds of cows with water and soft grass and caves and roots. Friends, while the two, who carry the mark of the tying-rope, lead the cows through the woods with the cowherd boys, with the noble notes of the flute in its sweet phrases, this is the strange thing among living bodies: what moves stands still, and the trees bristle up.

Such were the plays of the Bhagavan as he went about Vrndavana. Telling them over to each other, the cowherd women became made of him.
