29Then the Bhagavan, the son of Devaki, with the cowherds around him and his elder brother beside him, went far from Vrndavana, grazing the cows. 30In the sharp heat of the summer sun, seeing the trees making umbrellas for him out of their own shade, he said to the people of Vraja: 31Stokakrsna! Amsu! Sridaman, Subala, Arjuna! Visala, splendid Vrsabha, Devaprastha, Varuthapa! 32Look at these greatly favoured ones, whose whole life is for others. They take the wind and the rain and the heat and the cold on themselves and keep them off us. 33Their birth is the best of births, since every living thing lives off them; for as with a good man, no one who asks of them goes away empty.
34With leaf and flower and fruit and shade, with root and bark and wood, with scent and sap and ash and pith and new shoots, they give what is wanted. 35This much makes birth worth having for those who wear bodies here, among others who wear bodies: to work always for the good of others with life, with wealth, with mind and with speech.
