The jewel from his head· Verses 30–32

।

।

Govinda ran after him wherever he ran, wanting the jewel that was on his head; and Bala stood where he was and guarded the women. Coming close, as though he had not been far off at all, the mighty one took the head of that evil creature with his fist alone, dear one, and the crest-jewel with it. Having killed Sankhacuda in this way and taken the shining jewel, he gave it in love to his elder brother while the women looked on.
