By washing the two feet, great Bali became a man worth singing of. He got a mastery beyond compare, and the course that belongs to those who are given to one alone. The waters that washed your feet, being clean themselves, made the three worlds clean. Sarva bore them on his head, and by them the sons of Sagara went to heaven. God of gods, lord of the world, you whose hearing and whose praising bring merit, best of the Yadus, you whose renown is highest, Narayana: honour to you. Bhagavan said: I will come to your house with my elder brother, when I have killed the man who works against the circle of the Yadus, and I will do what pleases my friends.

Spoken to like this by the Bhagavan, Akrura went off as though the heart had gone out of him. He entered the city, told Kamsa what he had done, and went home.
