Having comforted the king's women, the Bhagavan, who brings the worlds into being, had what they call the customary rites carried out for the dead. Then, having freed their mother and father from their bonds, Krsna and Rama bowed to them, touching their feet with their heads. Devaki and Vasudeva knew them for the lords of the world, and so they did not embrace their sons, who had made their bow to them: they held back.
