Krsna the lord went with Rama and Uddhava to Akrura's house, having something he wanted done and wishing to please Akrura. Seeing his kinsmen from some way off, those best among the best of men, he stood up in gladness, took them in his arms and welcomed them, and bowed to Krsna and to Rama, and they greeted him in turn. When they had taken their seats he honoured them in the proper way, and, king, he carried on his head the water in which their feet had been washed, and with offerings, with heavenly cloth, with scents and garlands and the finest ornaments he worshipped them, and bowed his head, and took their feet on his lap and rubbed them; and bent low in modesty Akrura said this to Krsna and Rama:

By good fortune wicked Kamsa is dead with his followers, and this house of yours has been pulled up by the two of you out of hardship that seemed to have no end, and made to grow.
