A kinsman is not to be killed· Verses 37–41

Krsna, this is a bad thing you have done, and a disgusting one to us. Shaving off the moustache and the hair, the disfiguring, is the killing of a friend. Good woman, do not blame us over the disfiguring of your brother. There is no other who gives pleasure and pain, since a man eats what he himself has done. Even when a kinsman's fault deserves killing, he does not deserve killing by a kinsman. He should be let go: killed already by his own fault, why should he be killed again? This is the duty of kshatriyas, laid down by the lord of creatures: that a brother may kill even his brother, and there is nothing more terrible than that.

For a kingdom, for land, for wealth, for a woman, for honour, for power, or for some other cause, proud men blinded by the pride of fortune throw one another down.
