Going to the house of the lord of the gods and giving the earrings to Aditi, he and his beloved were honoured by the lord of the thirty and by Indrani with him. Urged on by his wife, he tore up the parijata, set it on Garuda, beat the gods with Indra among them, and brought it to his city. It was planted so as to make the garden of Satyabhama's house lovely, and the bees followed it from heaven, greedy for the wine of its scent. He had begged, bowing, touching his feet with the tips of his crown, the Unfallen, who brings a thing about. And now the great one, his purpose already gained, is quarrelled with by this man. Ah, the darkness of the gods. Shame on being rich.
