Then in a single hour, in their different houses, the Bhagavan married those women, taking on as many forms, he who does not waste away. He stayed in their houses, which he who does not fall away and is past all reckoning had made, and in which nothing was equal to another and nothing greater; and he took his pleasure with those lovely ones, flooded with his own love, like any other man going through the acts of a householder. So those women, having got Fortune's lord for their husband, whose track not even Brahma and the rest know, waited on him with a gladness that never broke off and only grew, with love, with laughing, with glances, with ever-new coming together, with talk, with shyness.

Rising to meet him, the seat, the best of honours, the washing of his feet, betel, easing him, fanning, scents and garlands, combing his hair, the bed, the bath, the offering of gifts: though they had hundreds of maids, they themselves did a servant's service for the mighty one.
