12Once, master, our sight was destroyed by the pride of fortune, and we strove each against the other to win this earth, killing our own people without any pity, mad, and taking no account of you, death, who stood in front of us. 13Now, Krsna, those same men have been shaken loose from fortune by time, a form of yours, whose rush is deep and whose power has no end, and by your pity. Our pride is destroyed, and we remember your feet. 14So we do not want a kingdom, which turns out to be a mirage and must be served with a body that is always falling and is the ground of sickness; nor do we want the fruit of works after death, mighty one, which is pleasant only to the ear.
15Lay down for us that way by which the remembering of your lotus feet will not break off, even for men who go round and round in birth here. 16To Krsna, to Vasudeva, to Hari, to the supreme Self, to the destroyer of the trouble of those who bow, to Govinda: homage, and homage again.
