Having had Jarasandha killed by Bhimasena, Kesava, honoured by Sahadeva, went away in the company of the two sons of Prtha. Coming to Khandavaprastha with their enemy beaten, they blew their conches, gladdening their own friends and bringing no comfort to those who wished them ill. Hearing it, those living in Indraprastha were glad at heart and took it that the Magadha had been quieted; and the king had the thing he had set his heart on. Then Bhima and Arjuna and Janardana greeted the king and let him hear the whole of what they had themselves carried out. The king of dharma heard what Kesava had done for them out of pity, and, letting fall a stream of glad tears, he said nothing at all, for love.
